DMCA takedown notice...never heard of such a thing until today.  Best to go Google it as I did and read up on this little gem of a copyright infringement law.  My rant regarding my former web master and web host offering my work for sale on Kobo?  I simply went to Kobo, reported the infringement and the material was taken down.  Simple.  I called it a day and walked away.  However I have been a lot more vigilant in looking for further infringements as I knew my years of my work was still in my former webmasters possession.  Keep the work to himself and it was all good.  Sort of.

During a trolling session this afternoon I revisited his site and was floored by a recent update he posted.  DMCA takedown notice?  WTF?  Seems I have a guardian angel.  An angel that knows enough about me and Uncle M Productions (not hard to do really) that would enable said angel to issue a DMCA takedown notice on my behalf.  Long and short of it....my former host has had all access to my material blocked.  He lost it all.  Karma...is a beetch sometimes.

Uncle, if you reported a single infringement on Kobo, and they operate in an area where DMCA is enforced (it's not worldwide), then they are REQUIRED to check the content mentioned in the infringement report and if he can't prove that he has rights to publish then they are required to take down the content. So, by making that one report, you became your "guardian angel". Some companies are really good about swift and decisive review of content. Some, not so much... some will just block without review at all, which can be a real nightmare if you ARE the legal owner of material, and someone is trying to hurt you. I'm glad this worked out in your favor :) What a jackass to try and make income off of YOUR hard work!
